Good day to one and all;
We hope everyone is safe and putting this time to good use. We can only imagine what demands will be placed on all of us when we return to work in the not too distant future.
In regard to returning to work, we know that CA/PPT management is working on a plan that will safely allow us to return to work in the near future. While we have not had the opportunity to fully discuss this plan with management, once a plan is confirmed it will be relayed to everyone in the upcoming weeks.
However, we are not holding back. The NFFE1998 Officers have taken proactive steps. The National Officers submitted suggestions and requests to Passport Management on how to reopen offices, return safely, maintain a safe working environment, and prioritize work responsibilities for the foreseeable future.
Before we submitted those suggestions, we solicited your input as well as input from your local stewards. We feel that those suggestions are a great starting point for future conversations with CA/PPT Management regarding plans to reopen each office. We look forward to having further conversations with Passport Management in the very near future.
As we get closer to returning to work, we will be looking for additional input from everyone. Please check the website regularly for these requests. Your comments, questions, and suggestions are vital.
As a reminder, our next “All Member Call” will be May 31, 2020. We would love to have you join us on the call. These calls are for you as members of NFFE1998. We strongly encourage you to attend if you are available. Again, please check the website for more information as we near the date of the call.
Finally, we want to thank everyone that is represented by NFFE1998 for all your past work and the work to come. It is with heartfelt gratitude that we get to represent each and every one of you every day.
If you are not a member we would love to have you join those of us that are. And, thank you to all the members for allowing us to be NFFE1998.
In Solidarity,
Your NFFE1998 Officers
